Live-edge cutting/serving centerpiece boards bring natural beauty and organic lines into your kitchen or dining room. Useful and gorgeous, you will delight in this hand-crafted and thrice-oiled hardwood board.
Each board offers its own story:
>The Tornado Board comes from a tree twisted by a tornado in Kansas City. This wide, heavy spalted maple board is marbled and marled, and in the middle there is topography that records the storm that changed it forever. At the right angle you can see a smidge of daylight through a jagged opening in the middle. 50" x 10" approx.
The centerpiece board will be a conversation starter whenever you feature an array of charcuterie, antipasto, or just plain ole snacks.
These USA-made artisinal boards are hand-selected from local salvaged or reclaimed wood that is then kiln dried. These beautiful trees are often being removed for landscaping or development, and rather than being mulched, head to the saw mill.
Wild Woods, a husband-and-wife team in Kansas City, follows the lead of the unique qualities of each piece of wood to determine its size, shape, and purpose. Each is unique, and each is stunning!
After heavy use, as the years roll by, a quick sanding and re-oiling of the surface will bring your board back to its original glory.
For custom pieces, please contact Bijou who will coordinate something special for you with Wild Woods.
Please do not wash your board in a washing machine.
